Academic freedom
The policy of College ESLG is to nurture, encourage, and maintain at all times to the fullest extent the full freedom in teaching, research, publication, inquiry and educational discourse and protect all academic staff against any external and internal influences, which would restrict the staff member in the exercise of his/her academic freedom, which falls under the scope of scholarly interest of the academic staff.
The academic freedom encompasses all the rights and freedoms that allow the staff member to freely discuss and present scholarly opinions and conclusions inside and outside the classroom.
As a citizen of Kosovo or another country the staff member of College ESLG may exercise the academic freedom as other citizens of Kosovo or respective country without being censored, disciplined, and restrained by College ESLG as a higher education institution.
The staff member who believes that his/her academic freedom is being restrained, he/she has the right to address the issue about the curtailing of his/her freedom directly to the Senate of College ESLG.
The Senate shall appoint a Hearing Committee to review the grievance of the academic staff and shall make findings and recommendations in the form of the report to the Senate. The Senate shall then bring the decision to address the issue of academic freedom of the academic staff.
