Dismissal of staff
Dismissal of faculty before the expiration of contract or tenure may only occur for adequate cause. Such cause shall be related directly and substantially to the fitness of staff member’s professional capacity. This does not apply to cases of withdrawal of program accreditation and financial reduction.
Dismissal is prohibited to be used to restrain academic staff in the exercise of academic freedom, in the right of academic staff to criticize ESLG’s policies and practices, and in the exercise of free speech as a citizen and in private life.
