Programme Information

The mission of the program is to offer premier education by developing applicable knowledge and unique skills that serve graduates and employers in the construction industry labor market, contributing to enterpreneurial spirit and sustainable growth of the industry.  

The main strategic objective of the program is to develop unique skills and knowledge for effective and professional management of real estate legal matters, investments and transactions by becoming the change drivers of the industry.
 
The other strategic objective of the program under evaluation is to equip students with interdisciplinary skills that can be very easily transferable from one sector to another within the construction industry as one of the biggest contributor to GDP growth, FDI investment, and employment in Republic of Kosovo.

The mission of the program corresponds to the overall mission of College ESLG in the way that applicable knowledge and unique skills that serve graduates and employers in the construction industry labor market, contributing to enterpreneurial spirit and sustainable growth of the industry can be developed only through provision of premier education in the field of Real Estate Management through unique teaching methodology and unique courses that are strongly linked with the labour market needs of the construction sector.

The main objectives of the study program are the following:

  • To develop unique skills and knowledge for effective and professional management of real estate legal matters, investments and transactions by becoming the change drivers of the industry;
  • To equip students with interdisciplinary skills that can be very easily transferable from one sector to another within the construction industry as one of the biggest contributor to GDP growth, FDI investment, and employment in Republic of Kosovo;
  • To enable students to develop their knowledge and skills in a spectre of disciplines in the field of real estate law, real estate economics and finance, real estate valuation,  real estate registration, and infrastructure management;
  • To enable students to gain knowledge and skills in the design and implementation of municipal, energy, and road infrastructure in various real estate development projects;
  • To enable students to understand the main determinants that affect housing markets and prices such as demography, household disposable income and interest rates;
  • To enable students to gain knowledge in facility management, maintenance and operation;
  • To develop passion in students for research and innovation in the field of real estate management so they can become the change drivers of the industry;


    Intended learning outcomes of the study program are:

    On successful completion of this programme students should be able to:

    • Understand the scope of the real estate industry
    • Understand and be able to interpret the laws, rules, and regulations under which the industry operates from the managerial perspective;
    • Understand the architectural designs that add value to the real estate
    • Understand the investments and financial transactions with real estate
    • Understand the contract law in the field of real estate;
    • Understand the different types of methods of real estate valuation;
    • Understand how to apply various marketing channels to sell real estate products;
    • Understand how main determinants affect housing prices such as demography, net migration, and spatial planning;
    • To communicate with the accountant in the preparation of financial statements and financial department for cost-optimization accounting for internal purposes;
    • Critically evaluate the public-private partnership contracts;
    • Work in teams in preparation and execution of real estate and infrastructure development projects;
    • Critically analyse a real estate phenomenon through various disciplinary perspectives;
